Information

Briefing:9:00am - Saturday 9th Sep 2017
Finish:7:00pm - Saturday 9th Sep 2017

Our Opening Day of the 133rd Sailing Season is this Saturday, 9 September!

We'll start the day at 0900 with a beautiful morning tea followed by our traditional formal ceremony at 1000; presided over by the Squadron's Commodore Mark Gallagher and a panel of Squadron authorities and special guests including His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland and the Chaplain, Reverend Peter Devenish-Mears.

We can then look forward to another fantastic Fleet Sail Past, where members, guests and bona fide visitors can watch Squadron vessels dressed in their best international code flags sail past the Squadron clubhouse.

Our Opening Day Festival kicks off at 12:00 following the Fleet Sail Past. The Festival will have activities and entertainment for the whole family, including:
Free harbour boat rides for the whole family
The Motorline BMW VIP lounge & car display
Angoves Wine Tasting
Live music from Sheldon College
Free soft-serve ice-cream
A giant jumping castle
Giant lawn games
Face painting
Stand-up paddle boarding
Opti sailing
Windsurfing simulators
Stalls from a number of our sponsors, and more! Visit our Website for the Full Program: http://www.rqys.com.au/rqys-opening-day-2017-saturday/ We look forward to seeing you here at the Squadron this Saturday!
